FBS has been designed to be the most relevant, in depth, and up to date fantasy baseball resource on the net. While its primary goal is geared toward FANTASY BASEBALL, the only way to accomplish that is to become the most relevant BASEBALL related resource on the net. While some sites may not focus exclusively on fantasy baseball- baseball content is all fantasy baseball related. In our research, we have found that many of the most relevant sites in baseball are unknown to the fantasy baseball community- and we are happy to introduce you. Since we intended to be the best, we decided to also be the biggest. Welcome to the largest baseball directory on the internet today. At over 3000 "active" links, active being the key word, FBS is being rolled out as the biggest on day 1.
While FBS visitors can enjoy the many sites listed, it should be noted that at least two sites were passed up for each one we chose to include. In most cases, sites were refused because they were not up to date, or we felt the content was irrelevant, or the site was just poorly done. To be listed on FBS, we also required the site to not have any pop up boxes and a limited amount of advertising. In the end, I believe you will find this free site the single most important resource for managing your fantasy baseball team through the preseason, the draft, and in season.
Because we felt the content was not informational and not relevant to the all but a few visitors, we also refused to list umpiring sites, baseball camp sites, youth/high school baseball sites and scouting/training baseball sites. As they are only accepted with a reciprocal link or pay to link, we have greatly limited the following sites: baseball card, baseball collectible, and private fantasy baseball league sites- public fantasy baseball league sites are of course included in section 1. Non-baseball sites were not accepted for any reason. Having said all that we are left with an absolute boatload of wonderful sites, specifically relevant pages and baseball blogs that should keep any visitor busy perusing for months unending, and there are more to come.
The easist way to utilize FBS is to find the subject matter that interests you and click the box which will maneuver you down the page to the catagory you have chosen. A quick look gives you are 2 or 4 Favorite links. Click "Go to all our resources..." and that will take you to the page with all the subject matter you are looking for. While perusing FBS do not look for an underline, if it is blue- click it.
While we are hopeful of selling advertising, the Our Favorites section of the homepage is simply not for sale. Our 4 person staff does a nomination and vote on what sites get listed in that section. So while you may agree with us or not, and we sometimes disagree between ourselves, you can at least trust that an advertiser cannot buy the opportunity to be listed in that section. This site is being rolled out in May, 2009, and will get limited change through September, 2009, while Fantasy Football Support is being built. Once that is accomplished, FBS will go back into design status and be in continuous design for approximately one year. Since we missed the opening of the 2009 baseball season, some sections are not at all complete and will be much more extensive for 2010. These sections include: Player Rankings and Cheat Sheets (2), Sleepers and Busts (4), Fantasy Baseball Articles (9), Mock Drafts (10).
To pay for this site we have added some google adsense sponsorship links and hope you will support the site through clicking their links. Otherwise, this is a labor of love for fantasy baseball fanatics that love the game. Enjoy it!
